DALLAS and SYDNEY (April 8, 2019) – Ryan, the world’s largest firm focused primarily on business tax services, has announced the promotion of Vik Singh-Bains to Principal and Practice Leader, Goods and Services Tax (GST) in Australia. In his new role, Singh-Bains will direct the practice’s sustained growth momentum, expand Ryan’s operations, and increase the Firm’s global awareness for providing indirect tax offerings across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
“Under Vik’s direction, Ryan’s Sydney headquarters, and APAC presence overall, is growing at a rapid rate, largely by becoming the only provider in Asia-Pacific that offers post-recovery and tax compliance reporting,” said Ryan President of European and Asia-Pacific Operations Jon C. Sweet. “Leveraging his deep understanding of the specific services needed by indirect tax functions to generate real financial value will be a tangible asset for our clients across the region.”
In his 18 months at Ryan, Singh-Bains has expanded the Firm’s integrated GST offerings and solidified its validation and identification process in Australia and New Zealand. With close to 15 years in the tax industry, Singh-Bains is a recognized regional authority on indirect and transaction tax compliance and recovery.
Prior to joining Ryan in 2017, Singh-Bains was Head of Transaction Tax Reporting for the largest investment bank in Australia and New Zealand.
