DALLAS (Jan. 24, 2019) ‒ Ryan, a Gold-level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), today announced it has achieved Oracle Validated Integration of PinPoint™ with Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2. As a leading tax services and software provider, Ryan continues to enhance its software solutions to improve accuracy, compliance, and productivity for more than 14,000 clients globally.
To achieve Oracle Validated Integration, Oracle partners are required to meet a stringent set of requirements that are based on the needs and priorities of the customer.
PinPoint is an intelligent sales and use tax calculation engine that aims to improve accuracy, enable tax compliance, and mitigate risks. The PinPoint integration with Oracle E-Business connects with Oracle E-Business Tax for touchpoints in the order-to-cash business flow. PinPoint also centralizes and simplifies use tax accruals and validation of vendor-charged tax, enabling tax departments to gain control of consumer-use decisions.
“The integration of PinPoint with Oracle’s E-Business Suite is important to our clients who want to know these applications will work together seamlessly as intended,” said President of Ryan Software Jayme Fishman. “The Oracle Validated Integration is a significant accomplishment and strengthens this offering for our clients.”
Oracle partners must meet a stringent set of requirements that show interoperability between the applications. The tests include a standard set of scenarios promulgated by Oracle against which vendors must demonstrate they can produce the correct results.
‟Achieving Oracle Validated Integration gives our customers confidence that the integration between PinPoint and Oracle E-Business Suite is functionally sound and performs as tested,” said Vice President of Worldwide ISV Cloud Business Development and Marketing David Hicks. ‟For solutions deployed on-premises, in the cloud, or both, Oracle Validated Integration applies a rigorous technical review and test process that helps to reduce deployment risk and improves the user experience of the partner’s integrated offering.”
PinPoint is the industry’s most intelligent tax calculation engine available for improving accuracy, enabling tax compliance, and mitigating risk. Utilizing a unique matrix weighting structure and a “no-default” transaction handling mechanism, PinPoint improves efficiency by providing the ability to effectively manage sales and use taxes for procurement activities in a process-oriented manner. Once implemented, PinPoint becomes the system-of-record for the tax department by warehousing transactions in a logical and organized manner to facilitate not only the day-to-day activities of the tax function but also ensuring reliable audit defense through embedded, client-specific tax research.
About Oracle Validated Integration
Oracle Validated Integration, available through the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), gives customers confidence that the integration of a complementary partner software product with an Oracle “on-premises” application has been validated and the products work together as designed. This can help customers reduce risk, improve system implementation cycles, and provide for smoother upgrades and simpler maintenance. Oracle Validated Integration applies a rigorous technical process to review partner integrations, and partners who successfully complete the program are authorized to use the “Oracle Validated Integration” logo.
