This course is designed to help our clients understand some of the more complicated aspects of Canadian value-added taxes, including: the place of supply rules for services to real and tangible personal property; special rules for price adjustments, coupons and promotional allowances; and the potential impact of agency on taxable transactions. In addition, many of the GST/HST and QST issues that often complicate cross-border transactions will be reviewed, with an emphasis on imports, exports and drop-shipments.
We recommend that participants complete our Value-Added Taxation in Canada: GST/HST and QST course prior to attending this session. This course does not address customs issues.
NOTE: These sessions are designed for senior accounting personnel.
