Ryan & Company, America's largest independent state & local tax consulting firm, has established a Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund for the benefit of Ryan & Company associates, their families, and other victims of the disaster.
The Fund will first consider requests from Ryan & Company associates and their families for assistance with temporary housing, clothing, supplies, and other necessities. After those needs have been met, the remainder of the Fund will be contributed to the American Red Cross.
"The devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina has created a state of emergency in New Orleans and other communities along the gulf coast with many families homeless, without basic necessities, and in desperate need of assistance," said G. Brint Ryan, Ryan & Company's Managing Principal. "It is almost inconceivable that such conditions could exist in the United States. Unfortunately, these conditions are impacting Ryan & Company associates and their families in Baton Rouge and many other offices. It was for this reason that Ryan & Company Management decided to create this Fund."
