Dallas, Texas - Ryan & Company, North America’s largest independent state and local tax consulting firm, today announced a major expansion of its Tax Technology Practice by adding three new Principals—Jayme Fishman, Nigel Hoyle, and Stephen James—to lead the Firm’s team of industry-recognized tax technology professionals. With approximately 25 professionals, the Tax Technology Practice is now one of the largest in the industry and is positioned as a critical growth engine for the Firm’s continued market leadership.
Jayme Fishman joined the Firm as a Principal in its Boston office. Mr. Fishman was formerly Senior Vice President of ADP Taxware, an industry-leading tax software company. Mr. Fishman also practiced law with firms in Boston and Louisiana. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Louisiana State University and completed his undergraduate degree in Accounting and Management from Northeastern University in Boston.

Stephen James, former West Area Leader for KPMG’s U.S.-based international value added tax (VAT) practice, joined Ryan & Company as a Principal to establish its VAT Automation and Consulting Practice. Previously, Mr. James was responsible for the international group within a transaction tax systems practice, which handled multi-country tax automation projects for global organizations. Mr. James’ experience in international value added taxes and the systems that support them brings new global capabilities to the Firm’s offerings. Mr. James has also held positions with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, the government agency responsible for the administration of most indirect taxes in the United Kingdom.
The Firm has added some of the most talented professionals in the tax technology field to its existing team of seasoned professionals, including Tony Chavez, Rob Colestock, Josh Ingalls, Joe McIlvaine, Tiffany Murray, Vicente Ochoa, Camilo Paredes, and Raymond Remy-Maillet.
