Dallas, Texas – Ryan, a leading global tax services firm with the largest indirect and property tax practices in North America, today announced that John R. Ferrell has rejoined Ryan as Property Tax Principal based in the El Paso, Texas office.
Mr. Ferrell specializes in the determination and defense of fair and equitable property tax values and taxes on behalf of Ryan’s clients. He has more than 40 years of property tax consulting experience and served on the first State of Texas Property Tax Consultants’ Advisory Council. He is a past President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer of the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals. He was the only property tax consultant directly involved in the successful legislative and constitutional amendment effort that established the Texas Freeport Inventory Property Tax Exemption. Mr. Ferrell graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, and he is also an alumnus of Leadership El Paso. He holds a State of Texas Senior Property Tax Consultant license.
