Manitoba has released this notice to announce that the current $2.80 tire levy will be replaced with a new tire eco-fee, effective April 1,2008. Similar to what has occurred early in 2007 in British Columbia, Tire Stewardship Manitoba, a not-for-profit agency created by the tire industry, will oversee the collection of this new eco-fee.
