This notice has been issued by the Canada Revenue Agency to advise exporters of softwood lumber products under the Softwood Lumber Products Export Charge Act, 2006, that a surge charge is payable for the month of July for the region of Alberta. Exporters who have shipped softwood lumber products with an Alberta region of origin during the month of July 2009 are required to complete and file form B279, “Softwood Lumber Products Surge Charge Return” by September 30, 2009.
