Amount of Funding
The NGen Advanced Manufacturing Projects program provides non-repayable funding to support collaborative advanced manufacturing projects that strengthen Canada’s industrial competitiveness and accelerate commercialization.
Funding amounts vary based on the scope, scale, and strategic impact of the proposed project. NGen evaluates each application individually, with funding levels determined by factors such as:
Number and type of consortium partners
Commercialization potential
Technology readiness level
Alignment with NGen’s advanced manufacturing priorities
Projects typically involve multiple industry partners working together to develop, test, validate, and commercialize innovative manufacturing technologies and processes.
Funding is intended to reduce the risk associated with adopting transformative technologies while helping Canadian companies bring new products, processes, and capabilities to market more quickly.
Applicants are generally expected to contribute matching funds and demonstrate a commitment to commercializing project outcomes in Canada.
Eligible Applicants
The NGen Advanced Manufacturing Projects program supports Canadian organizations participating in collaborative manufacturing innovation projects.
