Properties in British Columbia are assessed annually by the BC Assessment Authority (BCAA), with each assessment reflecting market value as of July 1 of the preceding year.

In British Columbia, assessment notices are mailed in January with a 30-day review period, and a pre-roll consultation process is available for eligible requests submitted by mid-August.

The first level of appeal must be filed by January 31 and is reviewed by the Property Assessment Review Panel (PARP), with any subsequent appeal to the province-wide Appeal Board due by April 30.
