Matt Zagotti serves as a Principal in Ryan’s Sales and Use Tax practice, based in the Baton Rouge office, where he advises clients on complex sales and use tax matters across manufacturing and industrial sectors. He works closely with organizations in consumer products manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, and waste incineration, helping them establish defensible positions and execute them consistently across evolving regulatory environments.
In addition to client service, Matt provides firmwide technical leadership as Co-Chair of Ryan’s Transaction Tax Education Committee and as a Subject Matter Expert for Louisiana and Texas. In these roles, he advances technical standards, develops best practices, and strengthens internal training resources. Matt is a frequent speaker for Ryan clients and the Ryan Professional Development Program and has presented for professional and academic organizations, reflecting his commitment to education, collaboration, and thought leadership within the sales and use tax community.
