Michael Garcia

Overview

Michael Garcia serves as a Principal in Ryan’s Transaction Tax practice and is based in the Firm’s Dallas office. He advises clients on transaction tax strategy and audit management, helping organizations navigate complex compliance environments and emerging tax issues with confidence and clarity.

With more than two decades of transaction tax consulting experience at Ryan, Michael works extensively with clients in the retail, restaurant, fitness, and software sectors, as well as fast-evolving industries such as renewable energy, cryptocurrency mining, and blockchain. He is known for his ability to develop and defend positions in new and rapidly changing tax landscapes. Michael is a graduate of Ryan’s Leadership Development Program and regularly contributes to internal education efforts through speaking engagements for Ryan’s Professional Development Program. He is actively involved in the profession through the Council On State Taxation and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.
