Overview
Shawn King serves as a Principal and Midwest Regional Leader in Ryan’s Real Property Tax practice and is based in the Firm’s Chicago office. He leads property tax strategy and service delivery across the Midwest, advising clients on valuation, assessment, taxation, and incentive matters for complex commercial real estate portfolios.
With more than 30 years of experience in the property tax industry, Shawn brings deep technical expertise and seasoned leadership to client engagements. His work spans hotels, office buildings, data centers, industrial facilities, retail centers, and apartment communities. Shawn is responsible for the continued growth and development of Ryan’s Midwest Property Tax practice, which includes more than 80 professionals delivering consulting and compliance services nationwide. He is known for his disciplined approach, strong advocacy before assessment authorities, and ability to deliver consistent, defensible outcomes for clients.
