On January 1, 2008, the GST rate decreased from 6% to 5% and the HST rate decreased from 14% to 13%. Recently the Canada Revenue Agency updated the GST/HST Info Sheets issued to provide information on the Visitor Rebate Program and the Foreign Convention and Tour Incentive Program to reflect the new rates of GST/HST (GST/HST Info Sheets GI-026, GI-027, GI-028, GI-029, GI-030, GI-031, GI-032 and GI-033).
