This notice was recently issued to introduce a new information servicefor businesses that register as a retail sales tax vendor in Manitoba.All new vendors will be contacted by the Taxation Division a short timeafter they register. This new service will be provided to help ensurenew vendors have an understanding of how and when sales tax iscollected and when they are required to pay sales tax on purchases fortheir own use. In addition, the services available to the vendor arediscussed, including online account and information services and theavailability of free tax information workshops.
