The province has recently issued this notice to clarify the tax treatment under the International Fuel Tax Agreement (“IFTA”) for fuel purchased on Idaho Indian Reservations. The notice also indicates that effective September 5, 2000, Michigan taxes are not included in sales of gasoline or diesel fuel to IFTA carriers from the Ammex, Inc. Class 9 Customs Bonded Warehouse located in Detroit, Michigan.
