Alberta Fuel Tax Act Special Notice, “Application for Temporary Approval to Hand-Dye at Bulk Fuel Locations”

Alberta has issued this special notice due to the shortage of marked diesel for resale. In order to increase supplies of marked fuel, Alberta Finance and Enterprise, Tax and Revenue Administration (TRA) will provide temporary approval for hand-dyeing of clear diesel to marked diesel at registered Bulk Fuel Locations (BFLO). A registered BFLO must obtain written approval from TRA prior to dyeing clear diesel fuel.
