The province has recently issued this notice to explain the changes to the Motor Fuel Tax Act that affect motor fuel tax collectors. All collector appointments authorized prior to July 1, 2008 will be cancelled effective December 31, 2008. If a person has been appointed as a motor fuel tax collector prior to July 1, 2008, the person will be required to re-apply for a collector appointment.
