The province of Prince Edward Island has issued this notice to clarify the tax treatment under the International Fuel Tax Agreement (“IFTA”) for fuel purchased in Georgia. During the first quarter of 2009, IFTA licensees will be required to report their activity for the jurisdiction of Georgia on two lines; one for travel and gasoline purchases during the month of January, 2009 and the second for activity from February 1, 2009 to March 31, 2009.
