The Canada Revenue Agency has issued this notice to ensure producers of renewable fuels, including bio-diesel fuel, are aware of the requirement to apply for an excise tax license, file returns and remit excise tax. The exemption for excise tax on bio-diesel fuel was repealed, effective April 1, 2008.
