Alberta has recently updated this information circular which sets out the responsibilities of producers and distributors of propane under the Fuel Tax Act and Regulations. Propane distributors are reminded that all returns must be filed, including “nil” returns, and that interest and penalties may be charged if returns and remittances are late or if insufficient taxes are paid.
