Nova Scotia Tobacco Tax Act Bulletins

Nova Scotia has recently issued or revised the following bulletins to reflect that the previously announced increases to tobacco taxes will proceed. Effective at 12:01 a.m. June 23, 2009, tobacco taxes increased by five cents per cigarette, tobacco stick and per gram of fine cut tobacco.

• Bulletin No. 5079, “Notice to Tobacco Wholesalers and Tobacco Retailers”; and
• Bulletin No. 5076 R1, “Historical Tobacco Tax Rates”
