The province has issued this notice to inform deputy collectors and retail dealers that effective July 1, 2009, the carbon tax rates that apply to the purchase or use of fuels in British Columbia will increase. In addition, the notice explains the responsibilities of deputy collectors and retail dealers to calculate and remit additional security due on fuel inventory. Please note this notice does not apply to propane and natural gas sellers.
