This new info sheet has been released by the Canada Revenue Agency to explain how GST/HST applies to sales of exclusive products made by direct sellers and independent sales contractors in Ontario and British Columbia during the HST transitional period that includes July 1, 2010.
The transitional rules discussed in this info sheet apply only in situations where a direct seller has been approved, on or before July 1, 2010, to use the Alternate Collection Method (ACM).
