Prince Edward Island’s Revenue Tax guide RTG:121, “Environment Tax”, was revised for announcements made in the 2012-2013 provincial budget regarding the environment tax on tires. Effective April 19, 2012, there is a $4 environment tax on all tires for use on motor vehicles with a rim size of 17 inches or less, and an $11.25 environment tax for those tires with rim sizes greater than 17 inches.
