British Columbia recently released a new bulletin, PST 111, “Mining Industry”, which provides specific information to help businesses in the mining industry understand how the provincial sales tax (PST) applies to them.
While some of the material in this document is also available in Bulletin PST 110, “Production Machinery and Equipment Exemption”, there is some valuable mining-specific information included in the new bulletin for those involved in the exploration for minerals or development of mines, the extraction or processing of minerals, and geophysical surveying.
