The Canada Revenue Agency (“CRA”) updated Notice 276, “Elimination of the HST in British Columbia in 2013 – Transitional Rules for Real Property Including New Housing”. This version replaces the one dated November 2012, with certain questions and answers having been revised.
Included in the notice are questions and answers addressing general concepts pertaining to real property transactions, transitional rules for sales and rentals of new housing, and the British Columbia transitional new housing rebate and transition tax, as well as builder information requirements.
