British Columbia Issues Updated Bulletin on Accommodation

British Columbia Bulletin PST 120, “Accommodation”, has been revised to:

• Update the Municipal and Regional District Tax (MRDT) Rate Increase section to include examples and clarify the application of MRDT during a customer’s stay which straddles the date when an MRDT rate increase takes effect; and
• Advise taxpayers about an increase to the MRDT rate for certain municipalities.
