British Columbia Releases Video on PST for Real Property Contractors

British Columbia has released a new YouTube video for contractors entitled “Provincial Sales Tax (PST) for real property contractors”. The first part of this short video defines a contractor for PST purposes and provides examples of various types of contractors, as well as what is considered to be real property. The second part of the video analyzes the application of PST in various scenarios. Throughout the video, examples are provided, including when to collect PST from customers, as well as when to self-assess tax.
