British Columbia Updates Bulletin on Multijurisdictional Vehicles

British Columbia has updated Bulletin PST 135, “Multijurisdictional Vehicles”, which provides information about the application of multijurisdictional vehicle (“MJV”) tax to MJVs and replacement parts.

The bulletin discusses topics such as credits, refunds, purchases, leases, the calculation of depreciated purchase price, and recordkeeping requirements. This latest revision includes information about refund applications, as it is imperative that the person entitled to the refund submits the application, as well as clarification regarding certain calculations. New examples to illustrate how PST applies to sales of a mix of taxable and exempt goods, as well as related services, have also been added.
