Ontario Updates First Nations Point-of-Sale Exemptions Bulletin

The Ontario Ministry of Finance has updated the “Ontario First Nations Point-of-Sale Exemptions Bulletin”.

The bulletin update includes information on the point-of-sale exemption as it relates to:

• purchaser and vendor responsibilities;
• insurance and benefit plans;
• HST refunds where the point-of-sale rebate was not provided by the vendor; and
• frequently asked questions, including information regarding rebate applications for qualifying First Nations Status Indians.
