The Honourable Allen F. Roach, Prince Edward Island’s Minister of Finance and Chair of the Treasury Board, presented the province’s 2017 budget on April 7, 2017. This year’s budget confirms the province’s commitment to families, health care, education and enhanced employment opportunities, while continuing to invest in areas that are considered important to Islanders.
A balanced budget is planned for 2017-2018, with a projected surplus of $600,000.
The budget does not include any commodity tax changes.
