Prince Edward Island Issues Notice to Fuel Permit Holders on Refund of Tax Paid on Clear Gasoline Purchased

The Prince Edward Island (PEI) Department of Finance has issued Gasoline Tax Notice 284 “Notice to Fuel Permit Holders: Refund of Tax Paid on Clear Gasoline Purchased” to inform marked fuel permit holders that they are eligible for a refund of the gasoline tax paid on the purchase of clear gasoline consumed in eligible equipment used in exempt activities. The refund may be claimed by permit holders annually, or when they purchase at least 2,500 litres of gasoline. The notice provides additional conditions that must be met in order to qualify for the refund.
