Saskatchewan has updated Information Bulletin PST-72, “Information for Rental Businesses,” to clarify that the rental of water heaters, water softeners and furnaces is subject to Saskatchewan Provincial Sales Tax (PST). In addition, the revised bulletin notes that taxable rental charges include any fees for damage waivers and personal accident insurance.
