Saskatchewan Supports Alberta Carbon Tax Challenge

The Saskatchewan government has issued news release NR2019/11/06, to confirm its support to Alberta’s challenge of the federal carbon tax, which is set to be heard next month. In the province’s view, the imposition of a federal carbon tax is unconstitutional, as it violates “the principles of federalism.” Saskatchewan’s own appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada is due to be heard next year.
