Alberta’s Minister of Justice and Solicitor General, Doug Schweitzer, recently issued a statement on the Alberta Federal Carbon Tax.
The statement confirms the provinces intention to ask the Alberta Court of Appeal to rule on the constitutionality of the federal carbon tax. The statement also notes that Quebec has joined Alberta in intervening in the appeals by Saskatchewan and Ontario to the Supreme Court of Canada to have the federal carbon tax declared unconstitutional.
