Deadline Approaching for British Columbia PST Rebate on Select Machinery and Equipment

Taxpayers are reminded that the deadline for British Columbia Provincial Sales Tax (PST) rebate applications in respect of tax paid on select machinery and equipment is rapidly approaching.  Applications must be filed by October 3, 2022. This deadline was further extended from September 30, 2022 to account for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation federal statutory holiday.

The province introduced this temporary rebate program to help businesses recover from the financial effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The program allows eligible corporations to recover PST paid between September 17, 2020 and March 31, 2022 on the acquisition of qualifying machinery and equipment.
