Premier and Minister of Finance Sandy Silver presented the Yukon’s 2022–23 budget on March 3, 2022. This year’s budget focuses on continuing to support residents during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, investing in infrastructure, and facilitating economic growth.
Consistent with the prior year, the budget includes a $10 million COVID-19 contingency fund and projects a surplus of $39.5 million, which the government attributes to strong economic growth in the territory.
This year’s budget includes no new taxes or tax increases.
