Ontario recently issued this news release to announce the extension of the point-of-sale exemptions from PST available for ENERY STAR® appliances and light bulbs to August 31, 2009. In addition, the PST exemption available for the purchase of bicycles and related safety equipment has been extended to December 31, 2010. The province will also be launching a promotional campaign in partnership with the Retail Council of Canada.
