Manitoba has issued this bulletin which provides taxpayers with information concerning a typical Taxation Division audit. The Taxation Division administers several different tax statutes, including Retail Sales Tax, Health and Post Secondary Education Tax Levy, Corporation Capital Tax, Gasoline Tax, Motive Fuel Tax and the International Fuel Tax Agreement, Tobacco Tax and Mining Tax.
The bulletin explains the fundamentals and progression of an audit by including information about audit selection, audit periods, assessments, refunds and appeals.
