British Columbia has updated Bulletin PST 400, “PST Refunds” which discusses situations where PST refunds are available, and how to obtain the refunds.
The revisions include clarifying that an agent who acquires goods or services on behalf of a principal is generally the person who is able to apply for PST refunds. In addition, the bulletin is updated to outline that a customer can apply for a PST refund when they return a motor vehicle to a manufacturer due to an independent, impartial, third-party dispute resolution process.
