Saskatchewan Updates Fuel Tax Publications

Saskatchewan recently updated a series of fuel tax publications to provide further clarification on the application of fuel tax under The Fuel Tax Act, 2000. The updates include information on various reporting requirements and deadlines, links to relevant application forms, record keeping, and other tax compliance guidance. The province has noted that most fuel tax reporting must now be filed using Saskatchewan eTax Services (SETS). The bulletins updated are:

• Information Bulletin FT-1, Fuel Tax – General Information;
• Information Bulletin FT-2, Information for Border Fuel Dealers and Fuel Tax Collectors Regarding the Gasoline Competition Assistance Program;
• Information Bulletin FT-3, Information for Oil Companies and Bulk Fuel Dealers Regarding Marked Diesel Fuel and Marked Heating Fuel;
• Information Bulletin FT-4, Information for Holders of Fuel Tax Exemption Permits;
• Information Bulletin FT-5, International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA);
• Information Bulletin FT-6, Information for Fuel Tax Remitters, Importers, Exporters, and Dealers;
• Information Bulletin FT-7, Information for Fuel Importers;
• Information Bulletin FT-8, Information for LPG Distributors and Vendors;
• Information Bulletin FT-9, Information for Fuel Exporters;
