The New York City Department of Finance recently announced that property tax and abatement renewals are due January 5, 2023. Notification letters were sent to all benefit recipients to renew not-for-profit, Industrial and Commercial Incentive Program, and Industrial and Commercial Abatement Program benefits.

Recipients of these notices must provide the New York City Department of Finance with confirmation that the property continues to be used for its exempt purpose by filing a Certificate of Continuing Use by January 5, 2023. Failure to do so could result in loss of tax benefits.

The local New York City experts at Ryan are available to assist with filing these renewals as well as answering any questions.
