- Jeff Arnott
- Based in Ottawa, Jeff is a seasoned assessment professional with more than 25 years of experience, including 20 years as a practice leader. A recognized specialist in office and retail assessment valuation and policy, Jeff advises on some of the most complex assessment appeals and tax policy matters. He holds a diploma in Real Estate Appraisal and Assessment from Seneca College and a diploma in Urban Land Economics from The University of British Columbia.
- Shawna Burke-Martin
- Located in Calgary, Shawna has dedicated her 26-year career to the Western Canada energy sector, including conventional oil and gas, renewable energy, electric power generation, mining, and manufacturing. She has also participated in assessment appeals resulting in significant assessment reductions and tax savings for clients. Shawna is a past president of the Canadian Property Tax Association (CPTA), having served a five-year term with the organization.
- Garry Coleman
- Based in Saskatoon, Garry brings more than 31 years of extensive knowledge in Saskatchewan property tax across diverse industries. With experience as both an assessor and a consultant, Garry specializes in the review and appeal of residential, commercial, industrial, and special purpose properties. He holds a diploma in Business Administration - Appraisal and Assessment from Vermilion College.
- Jason Crane
- Located in Toronto, Jason has almost 30 years of experience in the field of property assessment and taxation. He provides property tax consulting services across various property types, with a specialized focused on the hospitality, senior housing, redevelopment, government, and industrial sectors. Ryan holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, an associate of the Institute of Municipal Assessors, and a licensed paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Ryan Fagan
- As Head of Property Tax Canada in Ryan’s Toronto office, Ryan has been leading the management of property tax services for large national clients for more than 25 years. He specializes in investment-grade assets and development properties, bringing deep expertise in navigating complex valuation and taxation challenges. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and professional designations as an accredited appraiser from the Appraisal Institute of Canada, a chartered surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and a licensed paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Ed Furlan
- Based in Vancouver, Ed has been leading property tax assignments and representing prominent Canadian clients in assessment appeals for almost 30 years. He specializes in property tax compliance and assessment valuation for major real estate projects, including office buildings, shopping centers, big box retail, major warehousing, and specialty properties. Ed holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, has completed the Urban Land Economic Program at The University of British Columbia, and is the current BC Chair of the Canadian Property Tax Association.
- Evan Hovius
- Located in Toronto, Evan has more than 19 years of industry experience specializing in all aspects of real property tax and assessment matters. With a focus on office, industrial, and multifamily asset classes, he provides strategic guidance to national clients navigating complex valuation and taxation issues. Evan holds diplomas from Seneca College and The University of British Columbia, as well as a degree from Athabasca University. He is an accredited appraiser with the Appraisal Institute of Canada, a licensed paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario, and an accredited member of the Institute of Municipal Assessors.
- David Howard
- Based in Vancouver, David brings more than 26 years of experience overseeing assessment appeals across various commercial property types. He specializes in mitigating assessment classification and valuations in the industrial sector for clients in the manufacturing, logistics, development, institutional, and property management industries. He holds a degree from Carleton University and obtained his AACI accreditation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
- Andrew Jones
- Located in Toronto, Andrew has more than 18 years of experience in strategic property tax consulting services across a broad range of property types, with specialized expertise in hotels, retirement homes, sports stadiums, casinos, student housing, golf courses, and multiresidential portfolios. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Griffith University in Australia. He has also completed the Honors Business Administration – Professional Golf Course Management program at Humber College and the Paralegal Program at George Brown College. He is a licensed paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Mathieu Maillet
- Based in Halifax, Mathieu has more than 25 years of experience in real estate valuation in virtually all property types. He manages a team of professionals providing property tax management services throughout a large geographical area, including all four Atlantic Canada provinces. Mathieu holds the AACI designation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada and is a chartered member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- Andrew Prior
- As a leader in the Toronto office with more than 25 years of experience, Andrew specializes in property tax consulting across a broad range of property types. Andrew directs and manages a dedicated group of professionals specializing in the Property Assessment and Taxation practice.
- Roderick Slaughter
- Based in Winnipeg, Rod has more than 25 years of industry experience and has led the Winnipeg Property Tax team since 2011. He specializes in property valuation for assessment and taxation purposes, serving a diverse client base across commercial, industrial, and retail sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from the University of Manitoba and a diploma in Urban Land Economics from The University of British Columbia. Rod is also an accredited appraiser (AACI).
