Overview

Dinesh Kanabar is a Vice Chairman at Ryan and is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Dhruva Advisors, one of India’s largest tax and regulatory advisory firms. With more than four decades of experience, he is widely recognized as one of India’s foremost chartered accountants and a leading voice in India’s tax and policy landscape. He has advised multinational and Indian enterprises on corporate tax, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory strategy, consistently delivering innovative, results-driven solutions. 

Before founding Dhruva Advisors, Dinesh held senior leadership roles at Big Four firms, where he helped shape tax policy and industry practice across India. He has served on key government committees, including the Rangachary Committee on IT and IT-enabled services taxation, and continues to influence public policy and governance. He serves on the boards of several of India’s most prominent companies, contributing to strategic governance and long-term vision. A dedicated mentor and philanthropist, Dinesh supports education and child welfare through the Vision Foundation, Transplants Foundation, and H.T. Kanabar Higher Education Trust.
