Mike was a valued member of the Ryan team for more than 14 years, serving as a Principal in our Houston office. He would have celebrated his 15th anniversary with us in October 2020. Prior to joining Ryan, he served diligently in a number of roles, including Executive Vice President for both a national consulting firm and a contract assessing firm. Prior to his start in real estate appraisals and property tax consulting, Mike attended Texas A&M University and was a proud alumnus.
Mike started Ryan’s Houston property tax group in 2006 and was instrumental in growing it into one of the top-revenue producing teams in the Firm. Mike specialized in providing multijurisdictional property tax services to clients across a variety of industries. He was an expert in real estate valuation and had more than 25 years of experience in the property tax space. Because of Mike’s expertise and his passion for his craft, he served as a mentor for those who had the opportunity to work closely with him, including his clients. He had many longstanding clients that followed him to Ryan, and they had tremendous respect for him and his technical expertise. Mike also brought his knowledge to the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals where he was elected to the Board of Directors in 2009.
He served our property tax clients, and Ryan as a whole, with commitment and dedication. Mike loved what he did, and we are proud to have had the time with him that we did.
