Cook County property tax owners will have an extra month to pay their first-installment 2022 taxes. First-installment tax bills are typically due March 1. The deadline has been extended to Monday, April 3, 2023 for the first-installment 2022 taxes. This extension is a result of the second-installment 2021 tax bills being issued very late last year with a December 31, 2022 payment deadline referenced in our last Tax Development. The extension provides taxpayers additional time to make the first-installment payment.
