Dallas, Texas -- Ryan & Company today announced that Tony Mills has joined the Firm as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. In this role, Tony will direct the Ryan & Company legal department and will be responsible for developing plans to accelerate the Firm's growth through strategic acquisition, alliances and other creative business relationships. Tony will operate out of Ryan & Company's Atlanta office supported by Patti Deemer, Corporate Paralegal.
Prior to joining Ryan & Company, Tony was Senior Vice President-Corporate Development of PRG-Schultz International, Inc. (NASDAQ: "PRGX"). PRG-Schultz, a publicly traded company, is a leading provider of recovery audit services employing approximately 3,500 employees in 34 countries. Tony assisted PRG-Schultz in its IPO in 1996 and 2 subsequent offerings. In 1997, Tony established the Corporate Development department and was instrumental in forming alliances and acquiring 23 companies over the next 3½ years including businesses in Western Europe, South Africa, Australia and Japan.
Tony is a member of the Georgia State Bar and has been admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court. He passed the CPA exam in 1977 and holds an accounting degree (BBA 1977) and a law degree (JD 1980) from the University of Georgia.
