Dallas, Texas - Ryan & Company Principal Sam Birchfield recently received a special Service Award from the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) at its 28th annual conference in Vancouver, British Columbia. The institute honored Mr. Birchfield for having taught its Property Tax School for 18 years, during seven of which he served as chairman of the school.
Mr. Birchfield became a Certified Member of the Institute (CMI) in 1985 and began teaching the school in 1986. He has taught the school at Michigan State University, Texas A&M University, and Georgia Tech. Mr. Birchfield resigned from the Property Tax School Committee earlier this year to chair IPT's new Advanced School Committee. He also serves on the CMI committee, and is chair of the committee currently rewriting the property tax textbook.
Mr. Birchfield specializes in providing multistate property tax services in a variety of industries and has over 25 years experience in the property tax services industry.
