Ryan & Company Announces Expansion of Dispute Resolution Practice with Addition of Ira Lipstet and John Christian

Dallas, Texas - Ryan & Company, America's largest independent state and local tax consulting firm, today announced the expansion of its Dispute Resolution Practice with the addition of attorneys Ira Lipstet and John Christian in its Austin, Texas office. Ira Lipstet has joined the firm as a Director and John Christian as a Manager. Each specializes in dispute resolution and will assist clients in tax controversy matters before the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and other taxing authorities.

Formerly a shareholder in a large national law firm, Ira Lipstet brings to the firm more than twenty years of client representation experience involving state and local tax issues including multistate corporate income tax, special purpose entities (including partnerships, limited liability companies, and trusts), franchise tax, sales and use tax, property tax, unclaimed property, and tax incentives. John Christian has fifteen years of experience and is formerly Of Counsel at a large international law firm. His experience includes representing clients at the administrative hearings level concerning sales and use tax, franchise tax, gross receipts tax, motor fuels tax, severance tax, insurance tax, property tax, and unclaimed property.
